Replacement of Paddle Ice Disp Bk (#70) with Torsion Spring (#74) --- Pry off bezel with putty knife. Remove control panel. Disconnect connectors. Unscrew (4x) plastic Housing. IMPORTANT: Funnel Ice Disp (#69) MUST be removed from Housing Shield Disp (#58) in order to rotate new part #70 to remove/install. May be tricky as stuck tog

NOTE: there are (at least) two types of bezels: one with spring tabs on the sides that must be felt and pushed in to remove without breaking, and another (mine) with rigid tabs on all sides that must be gently pried to pop out.

I believe your answer is wrong on part# ps1483166. Spring #63 goes to part #67, and spring #74 goes to part #70, so the correct answer to the question is yes, this is the correct spring for the paddle ice dispenser bracket.

Thank for getting back to us regarding this. You are correct, the spring, part number 63 in the diagram, does work on the dispenser door recess crank, part number 67 in the diagram. And the torsion spring, part number 74 in the diagram does work with the dispenser ice paddle, part number 70 in the diagram. I apologize for any confusion this has caused.

Is this part the correct part to keep the back part that the glass is used to activate the switch to get water or ice? The spring keeps the part forward to turn of the ice or water off.
