Washer starts to fill, agitated shortly the stops. Error codes 3 and 46. Drive motor locked. I have unplugged for 15 minutes with same results. Would a bad motor be the only reason I would get those errors? Thanks
For model number GFW850SPN0dg
Hi Mike, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, both these error codes indicate a problem with the drive motor, part number PS12749280. We would suggest replacing it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

The machine makes a high frequency buzz/grind noise when the drum is in motion. The frequency of the buzz does change with drum speed, but the change is less dramatic, suggesting the noise is connected to the drum drive but on a much higher RPM - suggesting it's on the faster side of mechanical reduction.
My guess is motor. But it's a significant investment and job to change. Would like a 2nd opinion before trying.
Thanks!

Hello Dennis, thank you for getting in touch. You will need to check the drive belt, part number PS16217191, and the motor, part number PS12749280. If the belt become loose, damaged or worn out, the machine will have loud noises. If the belt is not an issue, the problem is with the drive motor. A failing or bad motor can cause various noises in a washing machine, such as loud humming or buzzing. We hope this helps.
