Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This water valve assembly is a critical component for select LG refrigerators, responsible for regulating the flow of water to both the ice maker and water dispenser. It opens and closes as needed to ensure the correct amount of water is delivered for ice production and chilled water access. Constructed from high-quality materials, this genuine OEM part is designed for durability and long-term reliability. Replacing a faulty valve can resolve common issues such as no water flow, slow dispensing, weak ice cubes, or leaks. Installation involves disconnecting the refrigerator from power and water supply, removing the old valve, and securely connecting the new assembly. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility with your refrigerator model to ensure proper fit and function.

Can I remove the water intake valve to make sure I am ordering the right part and still run the refrigerator while am waiting for part?
For model number LRDCS2603S
Hi Scott, thank you for reaching out. It is possible to remove the water inlet valve while you are waiting for the part, but it is generally not recommended. However, we can help you with the correct replacement part. The water inlet valve that is compatible with your model is part number PS12742493. We hope this helps.

My bottom drawer freezer does not consistently make ice. Some days it seems fine but then just stops, then starts again. There is no filter to check. I tried the reset it and shut it off, and it's not making the noise to try and put water in the tray anymore. The tray goes through the dump motion when I reset it. Water should then flow, but nothing. I don't believe the lines frozen or clogged since it sometimes makes ice but not as often anymore.
For model number LRFCS25D3S
Hi Cody, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description you provided, we recommend checking the water inlet valve, part number PS12742493. The valve is an electrically controlled solenoid that opens to allow water in. If it fails mechanically (stuck shut) or electrically (the solenoid coil burns out), it won't open even when the ice maker sends a signal. Replacing the water inlet valve might fix the issue. Good luck with your repair!
