We have a refrigerator that will not make ice or get water to the door. The water inlet valve checks out good and there is water present at the valve. Does this part control the power at the water inlet valve? If not, what other parts should we be looking at? Is there another board that controls this function?

Hello Jerry, thank you for contacting us. The issue is most probably with the door switch, part number PS12728638. We hope this helps.
The tube that sends water to the ice make keeps freezing up and no ice is made. We have had a Whirlpool tech here at least a dozen times and he can't seem to figure out what is wrong. We are in to this problem for over $900.00 so far and are tired of spending money for parts that aren't broken and don't fix the problem. Any ideas?

Hello Maureen, thank you for your inquiry. If the water tube is freezing up and the ice maker is not making ice, we would recommend checking the water inlet valve, part number PS11738056. It supplies water to the refrigerator ice maker. Glad to be of help!
