Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This genuine OEM hog ring is used in impact drivers. It is a thick, circular wire with a diameter of 0.5 inches. It is positioned around the output shaft where it grips and secures the socket or adapter. Over time, the hog ring may corrode, break, or lose tension leading to socket instability. To remove a faulty hog ring, use needle-nose pliers or a small flat-head screwdriver to carefully pry it out of the mounting groove around the output shaft. Slide a new hog ring in the empty space until it locks into place. Inspect all the hog rings in your equipment and replace all those that are no longer functional. Each hog ring is sold individually.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.
