Does this part control hot water coming through the inlet valve?

This part is the washer lid lock switch, which detects if the washer lid is open or closed and prevents the washer from spinning or agitating if the lid is open. The water level pressure switch for your model is part# PS12176459-which is the sensor that senses and controls the water level in the washer and tells the water valve when to shut off.
