Broken outer glass
The repair was easy. We removed the door with the lever on both sides of the door. Unscrewed four screws and inserted the new glass. It took about 45 mins. It worked perfectly.

The front door glass shattered when tap by a body part does this happen all the time.

The outer glass on my oven door shattered in the middle of the night. The oven had not been on in days. We were in bed asleep. How does this happen and does it happen often?

I set up the clean cycle yesterday on my oven. This is the second time I have done this. All went well. Today, I was going to use the oven. When I was pre-heating the oven, the glass on the outside of the door shattered. Can you tell me why this happened?

If the pre-heat is used after the self clean cycle, the temperature of the oven will rise, causing the glass to shatter.
