Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This V-belt is designed for various makes and models of snowblowers and is a genuine OEM part made of high-quality rubber. It powers the auger and impeller from the transmission and fits within V-shaped grooves on pulleys. This belt measures 35 inches in length and .5 inches in top width. Belts can stretch and become worn over time and lose their tension or break, thus requiring eventual replacement. It is recommended that you inspect the belts within your snowblower regularly to maintain the best performance from them and your snowblower and to avoid having to fix them during a snowstorm. To replace this belt, first, you must disconnect the spark plug. Using a socket wrench, remove the belt cover from your snowblower, if applicable. Once the cover is removed, remove the belt guide, which is used to prevent the belt from slipping off the pulley. Then release the tension on the auger cable by loosening its nut and disconnecting it from the main handle. You can then access and remove the auger V-belt by removing the securing screws holding the snowblower together. Clean the pulleys and attach the new belt, and then while holding the belt, bring the snowblower together and pull the belt around each pulley and secure the snowblower together. Reconnect the auger cable and add tension to it by tightening the nut, connecting the belt guide over the belt, and securing the belt cover and spark plug.

What's the problem if auger doesn't turn fast enough to send snow up the shoot
For model number 247.88190
Hello Chris, thank you for your question. The more common parts to check will be the Drive Belt 954-04050A. Check to see if it has been worn or stretched. Another possibility is the Auger cable 946-04230B. You may need to adjust the Auger Drive Cable 946-04230B. We are pleased to have been able to help.
