Power surge. No display
Replaced smoked Electronic Control Board, powered up and ran diagnostics. Machine powered up just fine but would fail the drum speed test. Replaced the RPS Module and machine works like new

Power spike caused the control not activate motor on drum.
I downloaded a service manual for $9.95 online that lead me step by step to the board.I order the board from another supplier but it was back ordered for 4 to 6 weeks. Was lucky to find Partselect. They had the part in stock with fast shipping.

The washer has power, when i set the cycle and push start it locks the door and within a few second it unlocks the door, then a few seconds later it locks again and scrolls load sense but never starts the wash
For model number GFWR 2700H0ww
Hello Tom, thank you for your question. I would recommend testing the water valve to be sure its functioning. If the door is locking, the next step would be to sense the load and start the water coming into the unit. If the valve is tested and is working you may want to check the pressure switch as well. I hope this helps!

Washer stopped draining and kept door locked. Tried to run spin & drain and would work for a while but then shut down. Had to drain water manually to get the ldoor lock to release. Had major clog in drain assembly featuring all kinds of stuff including xmas tree hooks, change, etc.. cleaned all out but machine ran well a few times then started the same non-drain and shut down again. i checked all drain lines and cleared anything i could find but was basically clear now.. i removed drain pump and checked continuity was ok. also used a modified electrical extention cord to test with electric straight to the pump and the pump starts & spins. i had hoped an easy fix and had ordered a new drain pump from your company which should be delivered tomorrow. i am now thinking that is not the issue and suspecting maybe control board issue? inv machine control? thoughts. thinking the pump only works now and then so may not be getting swiched on? thoughts! hd washer only 4 years old.

Hello Jud, Thank you for contacting us. In this situation typically I would advise to follow the investigation process you have already completed. My trouble shooting leads me to the drain pump however you could be correct in thinking there is something more going on. You could check the diverter as well as the control board just to rule out anything overheating and quitting. Good luck with your repair

I cannot get the washer to reset. Front panel reads off. I have unplugged it and still reads off. You can hear it humming, but the buttons do not work.
For model number GFWR2700H1WW
Hello and thank you for writing.
We suggest to try a hard reset:
Go to your breaker box and shut the breakers for your unit off, wait 5 minutes and then turn the breaker to on again. That should hopefully clear this problem.
If this does not fix this problem then your lock module PS11721792 might be faulty, you should check the part(s) for signs of damage or test with a multimeter, and replace the part(s) as needed. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
When starting a load the washer locks door then gets stuck in sensing mode. Ran dino on all the settings but ever test on the motor didn't do anything. Then tried checking voltage at the board when put it to test and didnt get any power. Im assuming its the board, but would there be something different preventing sending power to the motor?
For model number Gfwr2700
Hello Jeremy, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the PartSelect Number: PS8757093 pressure sensor, and PartSelect Number: PS11721801 RPS module. The hall sensor, also known as the rotor position sensor (RPS) is part of the automated system of your washing machine. It helps the control board make sure that everything is running as it should. I hope this helps.

No power there is power at the outlet but machine won't start
For model number GFW490RPK0DG
Hi Thomas, thank you for the question. We would suggest checking the power cord for any damage first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the control board, part number PS11772127. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

Is this part also considered the control unit and would it also control the washer tub from not turning if it was defective?
For model number GHWS3605F0RR
Hello Jack, Thank you for the question. Yes, this is the Control Board Unit. It controls most operations of the appliance and if defective, the tub may not turn. Hope this helps!
