This spark ignition electrode lights the gas that starts the burner on your range or cooktop. This electrode is part of the burner assembly, sits next to the burner head, and is just over an inch in length. It pulls current from the ignition circuit; the more current it pulls, the warmer it gets. When the spark ignition electrode reaches a certain temperature, it creates a spark. This electrode comes with the mounting bracket you will need to successfully install the part. Before installing your new part, shut off the gas supply and unplug your appliance. This part cannot be repaired. If it is damaged or faulty, it must be replaced.

Part looks like it would work, but as I cannot remove the old parts....
The parts came in a timely manner, however the old parts are stuck to the stove. Disappointed but it is not PartSelect's fault. Was pleased that I was able to find the parts....

Rear burner of sealed cartridge did not light
I removed the cartridge from the range and used a screw driver to remove the screws holding the burners assembly in the housing. (Some prefer to remove the burner from the top by removing the two screws, but I've had trouble realigning the parts that way.) I removed the ignition wire and the screw holding the bad electrode in the burner

cracked ignitors (2)
No problem removing the burners. Removing the old initors was a different story. The tiny screws that hold the ignitor in place were baked in and could not be removed with a screw driver. I drilled them and tried to use an easy out to no avail. The screws are very short so I had to use care not to drill thru the burner. Both screw heads d

Replace Ignition Electrode gas range
Wow, ordered the part here and it arrived in 18 hours!! Job was fairly straight forward but the screw holding it in place was corroded and stuck. Several heating and cooling cycles with a torch and some spray lube and lots of patience and I finally rocked the screw lose.

Ignition electrode broke
Removed the two screws that hold the element in place. Disconnected the wire to the electrode. The spark was no longer igniting the burner
The earlier reviews said very easy and 15 minutes for beginners. They were right on, except I could not get the old screw out no matter what I tried. I eventually had to drill it out and put in a self tapping new screw. This was a first for me. Then it took 15 minutes or less and works fine again. Hopefully next time someone will tell me

None of the burners will light. No sparks. The stove will light with a match when gas is turned on. None of the burners will light....no problems before today.
For model number ACF3355AW
Hi Doris,
Thank you for your question. I would suggest testing either your igniter switches harness or your spark module. Either of those two parts could be the issue for you. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
