Product Description
Dishwasher Door Gasket - Gray Specifications
This gasket wraps around the sides and top of the dishwasher door and helps seal the door when it is closed to prevent water from leaking from the dishwasher during the washing cycle. If your dishwasher is leaking water, first inspect the seal for food particles near the bottom and sides, and remove it. A buildup can stop the door from closing properly and keeping a tight seal. Check the door gasket for tears, cuts, or wear. If the gasket is damaged, you will need to replace it. Before starting the repair, make sure to disconnect the power to the dishwasher.

My dishwasher is leaking and water running out from under the door and onto the bottom panel all across the door big puddles help
For model number DU930PWSS0

Hi Yvette, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the door gasket to see if there is any damage. There is the seal that runs along the top and sides of the door and one that runs across the bottom. The bottom seal is only sold as part of the door frame. Hope this helps!

How do i know if this the problem to my leak??
For model number DU600PWKQ0

Hello Ashley, thank you for your question. If the door is leaking around the edges or corners of the door this could be the cause of the leak. If your dishwasher is leaking water, first inspect the seal for food particles near the bottom and sides, and remove it. A buildup can stop the door from closing properly and keeping a tight seal. Check the door gasket for tears, cuts, or wear. I hope this helps!

Replacing gasket-it is about an inch and a half to long on each side and the bottom hangs out?
For model number DU620PWK00

Hi Bob, thank you for your question. We might suggest double checking the installation. We have a video here: https://youtu.be/3sA8N32CBg0. If you still have a little left over that will be alright as long as it does not impede with your door shutting closed. Good luck with your repair.

Dishwasher leaking at bottom of door
Installed new door seal. Dishwasher still leaked. Googled the model number and then cleaned the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher, still leaked.
Verified that manifold bearing was not work. It was OK.
Found note that a plugged vent might cause leaking door. Very counterintuitive. Pried off air vent cover. Vent was thouroughly plugged with calcium deposts from steam. Cleaned these out.
Dishwasher no longer leaks.

Water was dripping out of the front of the unit down low.
I removed the old gasket, installed the new one which took about 20 seconds.Tested the unit, water was still dripping, but in a different fashion. As per a previous poster's instructions I removed the vent cover. (Located inside the dishwasher up high.)I cleaned out the calcium deposits with hot water and a sacraficial toothbrush. "Ta-Da!" Everything is now groovy!Thank you so very much for your excellent service. Your site was easy to use and your shipping was "lightning fast!" Also, the advice you sent me was invaluable. I thank you, my wife thanks you and my trained lobster thanks you too! :)

Door Gasket was bad causing a water leak
This repair was very simple. I opened the door of the dishwasher then pulled the old rubber seal (gasket) out; I checked the old gasket to with the new one to ensure the new one was correct then installed the new one. There are two small rubber pieces located in mounting slots below the door gasket that slide out; I slide the old ones out and slide the new ones in. No tools required.
The thing that made the whole job easier was ordering the parts from Parts Select; I couldn't find exactly what I needed on the Whirlpool website but I found exactly what I needed on the Parts Select website and the parts were a perfect match.

soap dispenser door/spring broken
removed old parts and re-installed new parts. The spring is a little hard to get to the right point without a jewelers screwdriver, after that everything worked fine.

Dish Washer was leaking every once and a while. Shield came out and was deformed by heatinfg eliment and was found on the bottom of the unit.
The gasket was a breeze, with just pulling out the old one and slowly pushing in the new in the track with my fingers. The shield was a little harder since there was no instructions before me. It turns out that it fits in the inner door and is used as a baffel for the steam (another problem with leaking out the bottom). After removing the front cosmetic pannel you need to thread the shield inside on three tabs that hold it. It took a few times to orientate it properly but it snaps in when correct. After the front pannel was put on and the unit test operated, the washer no longer leaks. Highly recommend the parts and help from PartSelect and the others before me.

Dishwasher Rehab
After hearing ominous grinding sounds and water leaking around the gasket, it was about time to rehab the dishwasher. This is usually the point where I say "t'hell with it, buy a new one". I am glad I didn't.
The Kit to rehab the impeller and such had EVERYTHING I needed. Right parts, right price.
Removed the upper arm assembly, T15 screwdriver, the screen strainer, the impeller, T25 screwdriver, the food grinding spring and impeller (the grinding noise, spring was sprung), and finally the post and impeller thingie (had to break it off, very brittle). The pieces went back on a lot more smoothly than it took to get them off!
Use your digital camera! I took pictures of every stage of the parts removal and what I removed. I got confused with some little balls that were inside and the pictures told me exactly where they went.
Door gasket? I should have replaced it YEARS ago, so easy and cheap with PartSelect parts.

Water intake hose leaked between plastic/hose connection (metal crimped clamp)
Since I had never made a repair on this 14 year old Kitchen Aid dishwasher, it was "discover as you go." First turned it on its back, took off bottom, disconnected both hoses and found out that hoses would not move. So, had to take off top and remove the back/side unit to get to hoses on top side where they were fastened by tape and a hose holder. Replaced hoses, used old clamp and "buttoned" it up.

dishwasher leaks from left side of door
The old gasket came out easily, but had calcium deposits in area. I cleaned the area with vinegar and water and waited until it was completely dry. The new gasket went in very easily and looked great. I started the dishwasher and alas, it still leaks, so the problem was apparently not with the gasket, but some other area. But the gasket is nice and new. Any suggestions on next step0 in troubleshooting?

dishwasher leaked
first i picked out the old seal, use a screwdriver to get it started. Then I pushed the new one in after cleaning the seal channel. I fixed it during a commercial while watching my favorite tv show.

Repair.
It worked perfectly ...five minute installation. Thank you.
WAYNE E - October 28, 2020

installed easily
The dishwasher was old but still works great. But it leaked water. After a thorough inspection to rule out possible causes I determined the door gasket had lost some of it's softness. I've used PartSelect many times in the past and they have always come through with the correct part, usually OEM, at a fair price. Using PartSelect saves me money and time because I don't have to purchase the part locally, wait to be ordered and pay a much higher price.
Mark M - October 24, 2020

Easy Repair
Expensive but, the repair was easy and the dishwasher doesn't leak from the door anymore.

Dishwasher Door Gasket
The part was as described and fit my dishwasher. Installation was easy.

Did as anticipated
The fit of the gasket in my old dishwasher is perfect. Now I don't have to get a new one. YEAH! It hasn't leaked once since the new one was installed.

Dishwasher gasket
The part was exactly what I need it dishwasher is working no leaks
Robert D - January 10, 2020

Didn't have to use it
I ordered the gasket to repair a leaky dishwasher, but while awaiting the report, I read a review by someone with a similar problem. She replaced the gasket, then several other parts before realizing that the problem was a clogged steam vent. I cleaned out my steam vent and voila, the leak was fixed. I set aside the gasket in case i need it in the future. Getting access to that review was probably worth the price of the gasket. I have put a reminder in my calendar to clean the steam vent on a regular basis from now on!
