Really liked the new silverware basket, keeps the utensils separate.

This new silverware basket is great! The top is extremely sturdy and now it's easy to separate the silverware while also preventing it from falling through the bottom of the basket. Highly recommend it!

Perfect replacement size

The part was quickly shipped and fit beautifully in my dishwasher. It si an improvement over the original design.

The older model of this part had separate flaps that covered up each individual sections of the basket. When in use, the flaps were to keep small items in place. I hardly used them. The new basket, instead of flaps, now has two sliding covers, each one sliding over the basket from either end. The upside is that there is more space in each section (because there are no more flaps getting in the way). The downside is that when not in use, the covers have to be stored somewhere outside the washer (and not forgotten about). Also, if you use want to use one of the covers, you have to cover up an entire half of the basket. This is not a big deal if you only use the basket for silverware. As for ease of repair. There's no repair needed as the basket just drops into place. As for durability, we'll see. The old basket in my washer had to be replaced because the bottom was wearing out, and pieces were breaking off (and ending up stuck in the sprayer arms). Perhaps the plastic can't handle the heat from the many 100s of washes and heat drying over a few years of service.

We received this basket quickly and it was exactly as described. Our other basket was 8 years old and had a few holes in the bottom, so silverware would get stuck.
