The Whirlpool Infinite Switch Surface Element is a high-quality OEM part designed specifically for certain models of Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana, Inglis, and Magic Chef cooktops. This surface element switch not only powers your cooking element on and off, but also regulates the amount of heat it produces, providing you with precise and flexible cooking options. Before installing this part, it's recommended to disconnect your cooktop from power to ensure safety during the installation process, and consider wearing work gloves to further protect your hands. Keep in mind, parts may visually appear similar but their sizes and shapes may vary slightly, so it's crucial to check that this part is the right fit for your specific model. The quality and reliability of this part epitomize the same high standards that Whirlpool is renowned for, improving your everyday cooking experience.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?

I have replaced the front left element (has an inner small and an outer large feature) and the old element did seem to be damaged (cracked in several places) but it still doesn’t work at all. Could it be the infinite switch? How do I know which one to buy?
For model number KECD807XSS01
Hello Bob, thank you for the question. Yes, it is most likely the switch. The correct Left Front switch is PS11750742. We are pleased to have been able to help.
The Infinite Switch for the 1200W radiant will operate at times however, after turning off the unit the radiant will not turn on again for several hours. Am I dealing with a radiant problem or a defective Infinite Switch?
For model number KECD807XSS01
Hello John, Thank you for the question. This is normally an indication the Switch that controls the element is faulty and may need to be replaced. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

My RR burner and LF burners wpw10178022 and wpw10221529 won't heat.
If its the switches what are the proper switch numbers for each burner? Both burners seem to be dual burners.
Is an infinite switch the same as the switches for these burners.
Also I'm guessing I should test the burners first to determine if its the switches or the burners? Thanks for your help!!
For model number JED3430ws00
Hello Richard, thank you for your question! Both switches are different for right rear and left front burners. Infinite switch for right rear burner is part number PS11750497, and for left front burner is part number PS11750742. We would recommend checking the infinite switches first to get to the root of the problem. We hope this solves your problem!
Hello Lane, Thank you for your inquiry. We show that this switch is for the right rear burner. The left front dual burner switch is part# PS11750742. We hope this helps you.
