What is purpose of this part? My water reservoir does not seem to fill up. Already replace water level sensor.

Hi John,
Thank you for your question. This part is a reversing solenoid for your evaporator coils and your condenser. It does not contribute to your water functions. Have you checked your water inlet valve to see if it is working correctly? It could simply be that the solenoid has failed. I would suggest testing it with a multi meter to check. I hope that helps. What's the purpose of this part?
Ice maker makes one batch of ice then quits and gets hot inside.
When I do the diagnostics test my hot gas valve say's it bad. Is this it?

Hi Martion, thank you for reaching out. No, it is a reversing valve solenoid coil which opens the reversing valve when the current is applied to the coil. You may need to replace the gas valve, part number PS11756049. We hope this solves your problem!
