GAS SMELL IN CLOTHS// I cleaned out dryer and vent going outside// check for gas leaks with soapy water( no leaks) replace the igniter and igniter sensor// check coils and had high resistance on both coils.
Test dryer and now still has a faint smell of gas on cloth\\ no air flow adjustment on gas tube for ths cabrio whirlpool gas dryer
For model number WGD8600YW1
Hi William,
Thank you for your question. If you still smell a faint smell of gas coming from the dryer after replacing these parts, you may still have a leak somewhere. It could be coming from the gas valve assembly, part number PS11746682. You will need to dismantle the dryer to see where the gas is leaking from. We hope this helps!
