If you have replaced the membrane switch and the F2 E1 error code still comes up, check and make sure that it is connected correctly to the electronic control board. Sometimes a film may buildup on the end of the ribbon cable where the membrane switch attaches to the electronic control board. This film can be removed by using a pencil eraser to gently remove it.
