grinding, wouldn't turn

Took it apart, found stripped gears, a common problem. Reviewed parts diagram on your website. Got the parts, reviewed the diagram, removed defective parts, used retaining ring pliers. put it back together, put new grease in, tried it out. Very easy fix

Worm gear wore out

Dismantled gear box pulled all gears out and replaced worm gears

worn gears had to be replaced (second time)

the hardest part is removing the retaining ring (didn't buy pliers)after that it is very easy, remove ring, top gear, center pin, bottom gear,worm gear(was removed first)the grease is pretty nasty,clean off the old grease and put it all back the way it came apart,with new grease.And then PRAY !!!!!!! Plastic gear housing breaking

Very happy to find that the new gear housing was metal, not plastic. The whole problem was poor design of plastic to hold metal gears. Removed housing held down by four screws, removed two gears that were damaged. Retaining ring was difficult to remove from retaining slot. gears broke

remov5 screws then snap ring thenn 4 screws then reploace with new parts and put back together

Plastic gear housing in stand mixer fractured causing gears to crash

Removed four screws to remove main cover. Removed four more screws to remove fractured plastic gear housing cover. Removed retainer ring and slid two gears and dowel off main shaft.
