Includes both the attachment and beveled gear. This worm follower gear is for stand mixers.
Worm follower gear meshes with the worm gear, causing the rotation of the planetary assembly where the accessories attached.
Unplug the mixer before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Perfect parts
Saved my wife’s KitchenAid mixer after she connected a tomato strainer purchased on Amazon. It locked up almost immediately and stripped the gears in the mixer. These parts fit and work perfectly saving a $500 mixer. Fast shipping and great parts! Easy fix!

Delivery from FedEx took over a month. Unacceptable in my opinion. Use a different delivery provider.

The parts worked.
It was a little confusing to figure out which drawing and parts would work for my machine since the model numbers don't quite match. But after comparing drawings and parts with my worn ones I chose various with a bit of apprehension. The parts arrived in a timely manner. They fit right. Much better information and choices than are available on the OEM's site. Whenever I need to do more repairs I will definitely use your company if at all applicable.

Just what was needed
The part came quickly and was relatively easy to install. The hardest part was cleaning out all the grease from the housing, to make sure there were no metal fragments left from the sheared gears.

Gears stripped
Dismantling was a little difficult, because the snap ring was soooo tight. (Our snap ring pliers aren't the best.) We also bought gear grease and a new gearcase housing. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that the housing had broken until we were removing the old gasket. Once we had all the parts, it was basically a plug and play set up, a

I used it to make bread - it worked like a dream :)
removed top housing, removed gear housing cover, removed all gears, cleaned out all grease, obtained gears and new housing cover, fit all gears in housing, filled with grease and put on housing cover. Reassembled mixer.
Worm gear had stripped so changed out several gears and parts
Opened the gear housing and removed all gears. Cleaned out all grease. Biggest issue was getting the retaining ring; very tight. Gears were difficult to pull easily. In replacing gears they did not sit easily and took a little rubber hammer to re position worm and upper gear. Be sure to have the right grease for food devices and don’t un

Took it apart, found stripped gears, a common problem. Reviewed parts diagram on your website. Got the parts, reviewed the diagram, removed defective parts, used retaining ring pliers. put it back together, put new grease in, tried it out. Very easy fix
Unscrew the top and remove it , 4 more screws to remove the top of gear box , wipe out the old grease , lift the gears , but to remove the center gear you need a special narrow tip plier to remove the snap ring . Changed the center gear , apply new food grade grease and with reverse order putting back all remaining parts . Worked fine .

I need the main drive gear that is operated by the motor. I believe the part number is apart number 18. It’s the gear that is about 1.25 inches in diameter and about 1/4 inch in height. What is the cost of this gear?
For model number kp26m1xpm
Hello Hank, thank you for your question. The gear that is attached to the motor shaft is item # 18 part number WP9709231. Then there are two gears that turn on the shaft of the gear I just mentioned. Part number W11086780 and W11192795. There might be some pictures of the parts you can find online, as we unfortunately, don't have pictures on our site at this time. I hope this helps!
