Dishwasher Upper Dish Rack Wheel Mount WP8268743

Removed old one installed new one

Replaced wheel part. EXPZ.

Because the dishwasher is 15 years old I decided to replace all 4 wheel mounts. They were all worn and not clipping to the rack firmly.
The repair is obvious. No tools required. Remove the stops on the end of the rack slides (manually squeeze the top of the stop and pull up, or you could use needle nose pliers) and slide the rack ou ... Read more t. Just remove the old wheel mounts and clip the new ones in place.
Slide the rack back in and snap in the stops.

Ordered part; took part out of box when it arrived; took broken part off; put new part on. No tools needed.

Took off the old bracket with a screwdriver. Replaced with new bracket.

The hardest part was squeezing the tab at the end of the track to pull it up and out so that the old wheel part could be slid out and the new one in. Fortunately, the track is open on the side facing the interior of the dishwasher so you can see what you're doing. Once that was done, it was simple to snap the new part into place, slide ... 1. Moved dishrack and tracks outward then moved just the dish rack only in. 2. Using screw driver, pushed plastic tongue on end cap at track and lifted off the end cap. Repeated procedure on second track on opposite side of dish rack. 3. With end caps removed, pull dish rack out and place on table. 4. Examine each track and remove any pie ... Read more ces of broken wheel mounts. 5. Install new wheel mount on opposite side of dish rack from good wheel mounts. 6. Slide dish rack back in place with all four wheel mounts inserted in the two tracks. 7. Reinstall the end caps on the tracks and the fix is done.

Took out racks. And releaseed bar. Released set screws and gentley pulled out unit to expose 5/16th nuts. Removed nuts and cleaned area. Used old gaskets as the new part did not come with the gaskets, Screwed in nuts. Reset bar and set rack on carriers.

I ordered part # PS11745459 - Upper Dishrack Wheel Mount. The hardest part for me at first was to remove the Rack Trap Stop. My husband was able to remove it with a screwdriver and also put it back on by hand after. He said I didn't pull it hard enough. Well once that was done, I slid off the wheel that had broke off the part I bought as ... Read more replacement. The second hardest part for us both was to wedge in the piece. You have to put it in from the bottom up without the wheel slid in yet and position the two notch grooves sideways to the basket and twist in. A little tricky but easy once it's done. Part also arrived quickly.

Have all the tools at your disposal. Remove top rack after removing the track stop. Remove 2 screws that hold unit in to cabinet. They are under the little caps. That is when you need the magnet for the screwdriver. Wiggle tub out of space and remove hex head screws that hold the wheel mount. Save the gasket for install. Put things ... Read more back the way they came off. Changing the upper dishrack requires some twisting and gentle pressure. Even if one is broken, replace all 4. Put back the screws to the cabinet and the end caps.
