Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This is a burner knob and is used in conjunction with your range stove top. This knob accepts a D-shaped shaft. This part is black and gray with numbering indicating the various temperature levels found on the surface burner, these include: high, medium, low, lite, and off. The most common reason for needing to change this knob is if your current model has wear and tear to the inside metal of the control knob. The function of this piece is to let the user control the heat of the surface element on the range stove top. This part will easily snap in and out of place with a firm grip.

Knob extenders were cracked/broken
Simple as a dimple. Over time the plastic connections have gotten cracked or broken all together. Why they don't make them out of stainless is beyond me. Make more money, duh! Anyway, old off new ones one. Nothing else. This company speedy delivery - ordered Friday received Saturday. Thanks!

R&R. Couldn't be easier. Lift and push. Just do it straight or the knob shaft will fracture.

My repair was just a replacement of the burner knobs. I was cleaning the range top and removed the knobs to clean around it when it slipped and fell on my floor which is tile. Most items that hit it will break. A corner at the top of the knob was chipped.
I ordered a full replacement for the five knobs so that the other four wouldn't look like they were dull due to being older. Took less than a minute to replace the items.

Is the order for 1 knob or 4 knobs? ($15+)

Hello Dave, thank you for your question. The part number Burner Knob WP74011287 is only 1 knob, it is not a part number for a set. If you required 4 replacements knobs you would have to order a quantity of 4. I hope this helps!
