Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This spark ignition switch and harness assembly is designed to restore reliable ignition performance in select cooktops and ranges. It includes five integrated ignition switches and a connected wire harness, replacing the original unit to resolve issues such as burners failing to ignite, erratic flame behavior, or unresponsive controls. Built to Whirlpool’s OEM standards, this part ensures proper electrical connections and safe operation. Installation should be performed with the appliance disconnected from power and gas supply.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?

I heard continuous sparking on one igniter. The others work fine when you turn the knob to the lite position. What is the problem?
For model number KGCS166GSS07
Hello Phuoc,
Thanks for your question. We would recommend testing the igniter switches with a multimeter to see if they have electrical continuity. Replace them if they show no continuity. If they are testing well, try testing the spark modules instead.
I hope this helps.
One of the igniters on my cooktop does not work. I removed it from its assembly. Not sure what part number to replace it with.
For model number KGCC566RBL07
Hello Albert, thank you for reaching out. The Igniter is not sold separately, it comes as a part of the igniter switches with harness, part number PS11742674. We hope this information is useful!
