This allowed me to pull out the lift lever and replace the broken part with the new lift arm. It was a simple matter to then replace the lift lever retaining/actuating pin and the lift arm cotter pin, and reassemble the mixer head and pedestal.

While kneading dough, my 27-yo stand mixer walked off the counter, and shortly thereafter the plastic bowl lift arm piece broke. After a quick internet search I ordered the part. Read more nch pop out the roll pin. 3) Loosen and remove the cotter pin with the screwdriver and pliers. 4) Remove the broken piece. 5) Attach the replacement piece to the handle and insert the roll pin, tapping into place with the Roll Pin Punch. 5) Attach the lift arm to the piece and fix with the cotter pin. 6) Reattach the motor to the base. Ready for 27 more years of stand mixing duty!

Was able to use the diagrams to figure out how to put everything back together. Would have been a nightmare without that as I took the thing apart without really paying attention to what went where. I removed the base and stand from the motor, easily found the problem,went online and found the part very quickly. I ordered my part, and ordered it. # days later I had the part in hand, replaced it, and now my mixer works like new.

I removed the mixer from the stand and replaced the bowl lift arm by removing a cotter pin and reconnected the arm to the crank inserting the pin roll and tapping it into place with a small hammer. It took all of five minutes to complete.

Had to use a center punch to knock out tension rod, once the rod got knocked out the job is easy from here. Pull the handle out, slip the plastic sleeve over the lift arm. First of all I found the part in no time flat and ordered it early afternoon and it was at my door within 24 hours! My son was off work one day and I asked him if he needed a job to do and he said "sure". So I showed him the new part and where it goes and in less then 10 min it was working. awesome!

A part required to operate the bowl lift had failed, "broken in half". I removed the base, by removing 4 large philips head screws, then removed the pedestal which housed the broken part by removing 4 more large philips head screws. Took the mixer apart so that the broken pieces of plastic would fall out. I needed a large philips srew driver -wasn't able to improvise. A friend (male) came over so between the 2 of us we took the machine apart and put it back together. The motor works fine, It was just the arm lever and everything is working perfectly now.
