Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. This is an ice bin for the ice dispenser in your refrigerator/freezer. The ice bin collects the cubes dropped from the icemaker. Take note that the auger is not included with this container. If your current model is broken or damaged, it will need to be replaced. To make this repair you will need a 1/4-inch nut driver. This bin is white and made entirely of plastic. It is around 18 inches long and 12 inches wide.

we need to replace ice maker

Plastic broken around ice maker shaft
I removed the 4 screws from the inside front of the container that held the ice maker shaft in place. This allowed me to remove the old broken container from the front assembly. It was just a matter of attaching the new container to the front assembly and sliding the new container back into the freezer. I am back in business and I coul
