Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This double water inlet valve assembly is an electric component designed to regulate water flow to both the ice maker and water dispenser in compatible refrigerator models. Engineered for GE freestanding larder refrigerators, it ensures precise water delivery and supports consistent ice production and dispensing performance. A malfunctioning valve may result in no ice, a non-functioning dispenser, or sputtering noises from the valve mechanism. This genuine replacement part restores proper operation and is compatible with select models from GE, Hotpoint, Haier, Monogram, and Café. Installation involves unplugging the refrigerator, disconnecting electrical and water lines, removing retaining clips, and securely seating the new valve to prevent leaks and ensure reliable function. Always verify your model number before installation.

The ice maker in the freezer is making really small ice cubes. The water filter has been changed and new, this made no difference. I am thinking it is a faulty water valve because this problem is intermittent one time the ice cubes are normal size and then it will make small cubes. My main question is there are 2 water valves, which valve feeds water to the ice maker?

Thank you for your question. If you have just installed a new ice maker, it will take 24 hours before it starts making ice. We hope this helps!
