the night light does not turn off

When you start the microwave, there is a rapid clicking sound behind the control pad, then it shuts off. About 3 seconds. Not sure if it’s a relay, magnetron, or the unit is toast….

Hi James, thank you for your inquiry. The F1E4 error code means that your main power relay board has an internal short. Try to unplug the microwave for 5 minutes and see if the electronics will reset. If the issue comes back, the main power relay board, part number PS16620391, would have to be replaced. Hello Tom, thank you for reaching out. We have concluded that the issue is with the light bulb, part number PS2376034. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. To replace the light bulb, remove the bulb cover screws and open the bulb cover. Remove the bulb and install the new one by reversing the same procedure. Good luck with your repair!

Thank you for your question. According to your owner's manual, to turn programming tones off, press and hold number pad 1 for 3 seconds until you hear a confirmation tone. Ordered top & bottom micro-switches and mounting plate parts. Internet reviews could not find specifics if the issue was due to a top/bottom or combination of micro-switch or mounting plate failure. Pulled the plug. Removed the top vent assembly cover held in by 2 Phillips screws inside the vent. Removed the control panel held in by 1 P
... Read morehillip screw at the top vent assembly area. Lifted control panel upward to release the catch and moved it off to the side - didn't disconnect any leads. Used a Torx bit to remove the door switch mounting plates at the front and pulled the plates through the opening from the control panel. Documented the wire color code connections, the top plate uses 2 micro's with one using both the closed & open contact. Installed the respective micros on the mounting plates and worked backwards with the wiring and removal steps. Once completed, the open/close sensing has worked every time.
