The receptacle in my refrigerator that the RPWFE water filter plugs into will no longer rotate into the "Closed" position without damaging the filter. I have searched EVERYWHERE trying to find a replacement part. Does anyone have the part number? And maybe a place I can go to purchase it? Thanks for any help!

Ice maker is making ice but makes a popping noise when i try to get ice in my glass and it doesn’t release the ice.

Thank you for your question. If you hear a popping sound when you try to dispense ice, it could be coming from the motor or it may be coming from the water inlet valve. If it is coming from the motor it is likely the motor trying to push the ice forwards. If it is not the motor, then the sound may be coming from the water inlet valve. This sound will occur when it fills the ice maker with water or when you dispense water from the dispenser. There are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the ice bucket and motor kit, the duct door assembly and the duct door motor. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts and some other parts as well. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. Unplug the refrigerator or turn it off at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds to reset the control. If the issue remains, you may need to replace the display board autofill, part number PS12710410. Led assembly ps16542810 indicates freezer light. Would this be the same for refrigerator light.

I went to a GE repair center to explain my problem, the service center reccomended that I have a techinician come out o look at it. $75.00 for the visit and what ever labor and materials wuld cost.
I went on line to see if there were others having this same problem and found that there were many with the same problem.

I tried the most common component and the less expensive one first , the thermostat switch I installed it very easily snipping two wires and attaching the news using wire nuts I used the diagram on this website to pinpoint the component and there has not been a problem since.
went to your website and viewed exploded view to find the sensor( there are two I just picked one to replace for now), pried the cover off carfully and pulled out the sensor. I snipped the wire in the middle leaving plenty to work with. I shortened the wire on the new piece, spliced the wires together and with some 3M rubberized, tape wr
