My washer won't drain. How can I unlock it to remove the clothes and get the water out?

Hi Bonnie, thank you for your inquiry. First, try to reset the washer. An obstructed drain hose is one of the most common reasons a washer won’t drain. Both kinks and blockages can obstruct the hose, preventing proper draining. A kinked hose can be gently straightened to restore function. You probably just have something stuck in your pump; probably a sock or a coin. You will need to drain the washer. Hook up the shop vac to the drain and suck all the water out. Then unplug and tilt the washer back, remove the 3 pump screws that hold it on, and pull it down to remove whatever is in the impeller. If there is no obstruction, the pump, part number PS12731177, is bad and needs to be replaced. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
Hi Dean, thank you for contacting us. We would suggest checking the door lock first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the control board, part number PS16555299. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Pushed in on door strike and rotated it counterclockwise, removed broken strike and installed new strike. NOTE: when removing the old strike (turning counterclockwise) it felt like it might break and/or was attached with an screw that I didn't see but it came right out.
