MTB2154ARA Maytag Refrigerator - Instructions

After checking the water valves ordered new ice maker. received the part three days after ordering! Clearing out food, removing the old one and installing the new unit took under 15 minutes. Everything went fine.

This replacement glass shelf arrived the very next day-after it was shipped. I was so impressed with the easy method of ordering and the prompt delivery of this product-also, the quality of the shelf was perfect. Great service!! I would recommend this for everything-as far as parts needed for repair or replacement.

I took the freezer door off. Gasket screws ran on the four side of the door. I unscrewed the top and three sides but the bottom screws were completely rusted and stuck. As the refrigerator was almost 19 years old which is the predicted lifespan I decided to just buy a new refrigerator. I was able to adjust the old gasket and got the freezer working normally but decided to go ahead with the replacement.

Part received was what I needed. There was one issue--the 'feed' opening to receive water and direct it into the ice tray was a side feed and what I needed was a back feed. That means I had to do some exchanging of parts to make it work. That exercise took more time that the actual installation.

Spoke to Rep.Advised that several parts might be involved. Replaced 3 recommended parts and frig works like brand new. Saved hundreds of dollars in repairman costs.l. Plus $1000.00 for cost of new frig. If you can walk and chew gum at the same time? Easy fix. Very skilled Rep's!! Excellent service!! Great prices!! Highly recommend!!

Snapped it together and slid it in...

I removed the switch housing (4 screws), replacing the switch in the housing was a snap. It took 5 minutes, cost $8 and light works like new!

Why didn't I order this part and do the repair earlier? Very simple.

I googled 'appliance repair' and discovered PartSelect. Tracking down the right part was easy - all I needed was a measuring tape to compare with the gridline
Ordering was easy and installing it was a breeze.
It was nice to know I don't have to depend on an appliance repair man or local store to fix everything.

New knob fit right in.

Took under 5 minutes. Removed two screws and unplugged the wire bundle from refrigerator. Removed old unit. Put old wire bundle on new unit. Plugged wire bundle back into refrigerator and remounted the new ice maker. Could not have been easier. Watched the video first, it was very helpful.

remove 3 screws,rotate assembly,depress lock on wire harnass connector,un plug harnass.remove old assembly,remove and transfer side cover and steel wire at front of assembly,connect harnass to new assembly,rotate into place,aling screw holes and install 3 screws.flip front steel wire down and wait for about 1 hour,first tray of ice will fall..all done.

to easy to describe, remove 3 screws and a wire plug then install new unite.

Very simple fix, remove 3 screws, two connectors to the old switch

Unplugged the power, removed old icemaker by removing 3 screws and unplugging a small wire harness

Then i moved the wire harness off the old one to the new one, moved the end cover over to new one and plugged the harness back in and screwed it back in and turned it on

ALL FIXED!

The light rocker switch wasnt working. I found the part on the web site. It was so easy. I used a screw driver to pop out the old one and pop the new one in. It took 5 min. Thanks!!!
