Husband replaced the bulb

installed new grill vent after going to the hardware store for a new speed nut(which didn't fit, but I made it work anyway) to relaced the missing one from the old grill.
install was easy!

Watched a you tube video prior to installing new switch. Followed the video which gave me confidence i was up to the task. After removing the touch pad I found my design was not exactly like the you tube model but I found the defective switch, replaced it and put the microwave back together. Works great. Again watch the videos

Unscrewed glass panel, removed old bulb, cleaned glass panel and installed new bulb. Screwed panel back into place.

Found correct part number, ordered, then installed.
Ordering was quick and easy. Delivery of shelf was very fast.
Very satisfied with everything.

Simple slide the tray into the groove

Removed one screw lowered glass cover removed burned out bulb replaced with new one put glass back reinstalled screw. Dune 5 minutes back in business

Took the grill vent out of the box and installed it. It was harder getting it out of the box than putting it in. I have been waiting for almost 15yrs for a replacement. The old grill vent was taped to the microwave. The Whirlpool company wanted over $100.00 for the grill vent. I wish I had known about PartSelect years ago!!!!

Open compartment, installed bulb, closed compartment

First let me say that I tried several places to get what I thought was a simple light bulb. This included several national hardware stores as well as a national electrical supply company. No luck. Went to the manual and PartSelect. Not only did you have it in stock, ship right away,at a reasonable price it arrived in a matter of days. One would not normally think of receiving a "how to" video to change a light bulb but you did. That impressed me. You had alerted that it was imperative to unplug unit before starting to remove defective bulb. As described, there was silicon on bulb and socket and bulb broke upon my attempt to remove. Had to use needle nose pliers to get metal base of old bulb from socket, then all went well.

Replaced light bulb.

Removed the old seal tape, took the door apart and cleaned the glass. Put the door back together and replaced the seal tape with the new seal and it looks like new. Watched a video on line on how to take apart the microwave door and it was very easy.

Since others reported similar problems and it was just the fuse we tried that first. That wasn't the problem so we ordered the Door Interlock Switch Kit. Shipping was very fast! Our microwave had 3 switches. My husband asked how to know which one to switch. I read that one person just did process of elimination. Luckily ours worked on the first change out! So happy to have stumbled across this site and not have to buy a whole new microwave.

Simply removed front of Microwave, removed the old charcoal filer and inserted the new one. On the grease filters, removed both of them from bottom of microwave and slid the new ones in place. That's all there was to it. No tools required.
