Hello Bill, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the Evaporator Fan Motor to make sure it is funning and circulating the air over the coils and through the appliance. If the Fan is running, you may have a faulty Refrigerator Temperature Control Thermostat. This thermostat helps maintain the desire temperature in the appliance. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

what causes water to leak from the freezer to the bottom of the refrigerator
For model number M1TXEMMWW00
PartSelect logo
Hello Charlie, thank you for your inquiry. Water leaking from the freezer to the bottom of a refrigerator is most commonly caused by a blocked defrost drain hose. We would recommend cleaning the defrost drain hose. If the problem persists, then you may need to check the defrost thermostat, part number PS11740448, to solve the problem. Glad to be of assistance!

Compressor comes on for two seconds then in about 4 minutes does the same thing. Already replaced capacitor that was not it. All this happened after electricity went out. Checked circuit board and no burnt signs.

Hello and thank you for writing. We suggest to try a hard reset: Go to your breaker box and shut the breakers for your unit off, wait 5 minutes and then turn the breaker to on again. That should hopefully clear this problem. It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty PS2345058 (some times this will happen after an outage) you should check the part(s) for signs of damage, and replace the part(s) as needed. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Hi, I hope U can help me! My ice maker quit working. So I've replaced the ice maker and the inlet valve with new. I still can't get water up to the maker! If I hook the valve up direct, using an old cord. It will pump the water up to the maker. Is there something wrong with the new ice maker or something else that is not turning on the valve? Any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you

Hi Terry, Thank you for your question. If you have replaced the water inlet valve and the ice maker and water will still not go to the ice maker, we recommend checking the water supply to your home to see if you have a water pressure issue. We also recommend checking the water lines to make sure they are fitted correctly and that they are not clogged. If you just replaced the ice maker, please allow 24 hours for the ice maker to start making ice. Also, check the water inlet valve to make sure that it is fully open. If you have any questions, please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!

Ice Maker quit working, I could manually cycle unit but then the water would overflow when unit was re-filling.
I backed out the 2 top screws about a quarter inch and then removed bottem screw with a quater inch nut driver. I then lifted Ice Maker clear of the two top screws and lowered it enough to unclip the power connection with a small screwdriver. The new Ice Maker was wired correctley for my refrigeator so all I had to do wea reconnect the power connection and mount new Ice Maker on the two top screws and install the bottem screw. It took e while for the new Ice Maker to start it's cycle but after it did, it worked GREAT. Part Select service was OUTSTANDING, ordered part one day and received the next. THANKS!!!!

My refrigerator stopped cooling and the freezer section stopped freezing
I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there. I went on line and found the parts at this site and they were less than the minimum service call charge for a service tech so I figured what the heck let's give her a shot so I did give it a shot. I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. Thanks guys, It took less time to order the parts than it did to make the repair so thanks, your website rocks and is very well designed so my hat is off to you guys!

No Ice in the Ice Maker
I am NOT a handyman, and my family laughed at me when I said I was going to fix the ice maker all by myself. I ordered a replacement ice maker. When it arrived, I opened the box and read the instructions. It seemed easy. I removed the old ice maker, with a socket set. I then took off the shut off lever from the old one and placed it on the new one, since the new one didn't come with it. I then put the new one in place. All the parts fit perfectly. The ice machine was making ice within an hour. My family was amazed... and I got the last laugh!
