Renew Your String Trimmer is Easy
The plastic outer housing of my B&D trimmer steadily wore out as the lower bearing location vibrated away. But with the new part, and a separate rotating assembly, it's as good as new (and may have been OK with just the housing change).

6 or 8 Phillips screws and R&R of a stress relief inside the housing was all it took to swap out the old motor/assembly and be as good as new. No disconnection of wires, and easy repair.
