Refrigerator light would not reliably turn on when the door was opened.
Switched the refrigerator circuit breaker to off. Put tape around the switch to prevent scratches. Wedged the putty knife into the right side of the switch and pried up.the switch and connector popped out. Removed the connector from the old switch and connected it to the socket in the new switch. Stuffed the new switch and connector back into its home. Switched on the circuit breaker. Now we have light in the refrigerator with every opening!

The spring broke
I could not as the spring was too large and did not fit. Calls to Parts Select were not very useful as I described the problem and was told that that was the correct part, even though I supplied photos.
Rather than research the problem, I was told to call LG. Not exactly the response I expected from an authorized distributor. By the way, LG service said to call an authorized distributor, so round and round I go Please help.

Lights out on refrigerator
Unplugged the refrigerator, Taped around the edges of switch as I had read to prevent possible scratches, used very thin flathead screwdriver to pry out old switch, unplugged old switch, plugged in new switch, put it back in opening, plugged fridge back in, and I had beautiful light! Hardest part was unplugging the refrigerator!

After 10 years of service the right door gasket needed replacement.
It was SO easy. No clamps or brackets. Grabbed the gasket with pliers to get started removing it - just pull it out of the deep groove inset around the perimeter of the door. Within one minute I had the old gasket removed. Started installing the new gasket by inserting the top right corner 1st (pushing the new gasket profile into the deep groove inset on the door). Working around the top and right side slowly inserting the gasket profile into the deep groove around the entire door. You may have to "adjust" a bit by pulling on the gasket but within 5 minutes I had the new gasket in-place never having to turn off the refrigerator. YouTube has great "how-to" videos. It's easy!

Refrigerator light not working. If I would flick the button it would go on for a minute but not stay on.
The old switch was a little hard to get out....took me a couple tries. I couldn’t move the frig out to unplug it, so just shut the power off in the kitchen. But, I was happy that’s what the problem was and so happy to have the light back on......it was probably three years it didn’t work!

Ice maker wore out.
I installed the new 3 wire ice maker very easily, but it was defective. I was told that instructions for the return of the defective part would be sent later due to the virus. I have never received the return instruction.
I did receive a credit for the defective part. VERY Satisfied with y’all’s service.
Waiting for return instructions if y’all still want it back.
Thanks,
Thomas Pennebaker

Broken Flapper Spring on Door
Initially the wrong spring was sent. The coiled spring must have COUNTERCLOCKWISE wind for this refrigerator door. A spring with a clockwise wind was initially sent. Partselect very promptly and efficiently corrected the problem at their expense. For this reason I give them a strong recommendation.

The lights wouldn't always come on.
I actually watched a YouTube video for LG refrigerators. The hardest part was taking the wire harness out. Mine was really stuck in there. But got it, put the new switch in and viola it worked. Yay!

Door gasket tore.
With a small flat blade screw driver, gently pry the corner of the gasket from the door.
Pull it loose across the top, then down the sides.
Wipe the gasket track clean with a damp cloth.
Start installing the new gasket at one of the top corners. Then the other top corner. Press the gasket into the track between the top corners.
Next do the bottom corners. Pressing the bottom between the corners.
Then press in each side.
Elapsed time: 3-5 minutes.
