First I tried duct tape until I could figure out how to get the part. I went online and found that part that I thought it was, but I wasn't sure since the tube I had was very stiff and looked like it had a particular shape on each end..the one on the site was just a straight tube. I was about to pull out my dishwasher and then removed the bottom cover and there you could see the spring. BUT WHO KNEW THERE WERE TWO SPRINGS? Only one of mine was bad BUT I would have replaced both of them at the same time. The diagram on the website clearly only showed one spring and now to buy the second one would cost more

The dishwasher was so old that the new panel was too large. So I had to cut it down. This steel panel was so tough to cut that I used every cutting tool I had to trim it to the right size.

Replacing the water inlet valve was as simple as unplugging the dishwasher, turning off the water, removing the dishwasher panels, removing the old water inlet valve by removing the 2 screws holding the valve, and disconnecting from the valve the two-wire clip, the water-in hose, and the water-out hose. I had initially tore into the dishwasher to determine the problem. This process took me about an hour to determine the problem was the water inlet valve. I also checked the float switch to make sure that was not the problem. So having done all the preliminary foot work, all I needed was a new valve. I also purchased a new brass elbow to go on the new valve (about $2.50).

I reconnected the old valve so I could turn the water back on, ordered the new part and waited. Counting the day I ordered the part, it arrived on the 3rd day. Once the new part arrived I had the new part installed in less than 30 minutes.

I always hate repairs where plumbing is involved because once you take something apart and put it back together, it usually leaks. Maybe I got lucky this time because nothing leaked once I had it back together.

Had to cut one end of old tube off with pocket knife, other end was cracked and came right off. Put a dab of vasoline in each end of new water tube and slid in place. Wife had called a repair shop, was told $25.50 for part, $65.00 house call/labor. Easy fix with 15.00 +/- part and 10 min. of my own labor.

Srewed it back on. . . Very simple!

I first removed the old rubber water delivery tube ( not hard to do since it was literally falling apart from age). I then used a blow dryer to make the new rubber water delivery tube a little more flexible. I slid it on one end and then the other. My dishwasher works great now. Then the part was going to cost $200 with another $139 because they would have to come out again. I ended up buying a new washer. I was so excited that I was able to fix my dishwasher, I've been telling everyone.

I was told I needed a whole new dishwasher arm, that I probably would not be able to change myself. Described the part of the part in your description area and lo and behold, there it was..
Could not find it anywhere else.

Actually I ordered the drain and wash impeller kit because it was listed as the #1 cause of failure to drain. I then hired a plumber to install it. He did so and that didn't solve the problem. So I was about to buy a new dishwasher. I then noticed that the second most frequent cause was a problem with the "dishwasher drain check valve." I ... Read more watched the "partselect" video on how to change that. I didn't have a new one but I thought I would take out the part and see what I could learn. As it turned out it was blocked by a little piece of what appeared to be a walnut chip. I cleaned it out reinstalled the drain check valve and the problem was solved.

Once the covers under the door are removed, the check valve is visible (unless its too dark, hence the headlight), and pointing right at you. Removed 2 covers, placed pan under check valve and hose to catch any wa ... Read more ter, squeezed clamp with (wrong) pliers, it eventually came loose. Carefully twisted hose off check valve. Water came out, some of it got into the pan, most of it on the floor. I guess I should have pumped it out before I started this. Plastic check valve is screwed into the big piece of whatever, carefully grabbed it with (wrong again) pliers and turned it out. Installation is reverse of removal - but use a large pliers with a ROUNDED jaw to grab the round check valve body. Don't squeeze too hard or overtighten it. Put the clamp on the valve before pushing the hose on. Be sure the hose seats all the way onto the little lugs. Compress the clamp, slide it over the end of the hose and release. That's all folks, works good now.

Disasembled pump to find dammaged parts replaced with new parts . Made wife very happy .

Installed pump kit. Was surprised the kit seemed different( some parts changed or deleted. Instructed to discard old parts and follow with new configuration. Reassembled and tried t fin it works fine now. Thank you so much

removed old check valve from bottom of dishwasher and replaced with new one.
