Drive coupling fell apart during use
I followed the instructions on the sheet that came with the replacement part. The instructions are accurate, however, the working is misleading. I think additional information is needed to make the install easier. First, a flat head screwdriver works best. Also, all the rubber that is on the broken coupling needs to be removed before trying to get the coupling off. Once all the rubber has been removed then it becomes easier to see the metal rod that holds the coupling and distance between the coupling and the base of the blender, take the screwdriver and gently pry the coupling off in an upward movement while going around in a circular manner. Then you can see the coupling rising up from the rod. Then take a hold of the broken coupling and pull it off. Then attach the new coupling, screwing it on counterclockwise. Once you realize what is going on, it's actually quite easy.

coupling had broken a couple of pieces off
Intructions were simple. Pried off the old coupling with the screwdriver and applied presser to replace the new one on the spindle.
Comment: KitchenAid appliances are made to last unlike most other small kitchen appliances. They are made of strong materials and repairable where as other similar products get thrown out when they break.

Teeth on rubber coupling were broken off.
Just like the directions said, I pryed up on the coupling at a few points around it's circumference and it became loose enough to unscrew. I didn't believe it was going to work at first but, amazingly, it did. All that was left to do was screw on the new part. No problem!

blender coupler was worn down
Using the precise instructions provided by parts select, I used a big screw driver and pried off the old coupler and cleaned the area and screwed on the new coupler. Fixed!
The part finally arrived 3 weeks later, after being out of stock and back ordered a couple times.

So Easy
The coupling split apart on my Kitchenaid Blender. I ordered the coupling part and "Bingo", I was back in business. It took no time at all and one screwdriver. I saved penty of money by not having to buy a new appliance.

The drive coupling wore out
I unscrewed the old coupling and screwed on the new coupling from Partselect.
This was a personal repair job.
However, I am a local Handyman in Northern NJ that does a ton of minor repairs. For all of my appliance part needs I will buy from Partselect.com. They under promised and over delivered! Just incase you dont know what I mean by that statement,,, I ordered the blender part, they told me I would have it in 6-10 days (which was acceptable to me) and I had it in two days... AWESOME job FOLKS!!!!!!!
