JGSP48SH2SS General Electric Range - Instructions

Unplugged oven, turned off breaker, took cover off back of oven, removed old sensor by disconnecting in back of oven and undoing screw inside oven. Pulled old one out replaced with new took 15min. Cost me less than $20. Parts Select rocks! Even received part in two days with standard shipping!

I replaced the regulator because it would close off when not in use. The regulator would not allow gas to flow for 15-45 seconds after 1 or more valves were opened. Everything functioned fine after the gas started flowing, but after a few minutes of having all burners off, you would have to wait for the regulator to open up when you needed to cook again. It was not the biggest problem in the world, but my wife complained like it was. The fix was easy and not to expensive, especially when you consider how much she was willing to pay the repair man. Hands on work was about 10 minutes. Gathering tools and teaching my son what I was doing took up the bulk of the time.

First remove the screws around the inside perimeter of the door. These require a special hex driver. Take off the inside plastic liner of door.
Peal off the old Insulation Foam Strip and replace it with the new strip in the same location. Make sure the wires are off to the right side. Replace the door plastic liner. Done. The Insulation Foam Strip really acts more like a loose gasket to keep spashing from creeping under the door and drippin out on the floor.

This was a wall mounted oven. Turned off breaker. Pulled panel off by removing 6 screws. Pulled connectors off old switch. Removed old switch. Just a friction fit. I used my jack knife to get it moving. Pushed in the new switch and connected wires. (just push on tabs) Put panel back together and turned on breaker. Done, easy.

I called Sears Repair to do the work. Glad I did because there's a lot more than just unscrewing screws...had to use the Dremel because the manufacture stripped one of the screws in assembly that was attached to the ignition part that connects to the burner...

Easy to install replacement parts using the screws provided.

Followed the example picture on the part bag. Anyone could do this, incredibly easy. Took about 4 minutes to install both sides.

pull out defective seal with pliers clean area and press new seal into place making sure the spring clips on seal are completely inserted into door slots push ends of seal into holes in bottom of door

Installed new guides with a nut driver without any problems.

put it in but it keeps falling out. they're made narrower than my oven grate.

the repair takes 10 sec, as long as you choose the right model...... great service from partselect... delivery within 48 hours.....

Unplugged from wall outlet, then opened oven front door. Reached in and removed two screws. Pulled oven sensor threw and detached electrical connector from old sensor. Plugged in new oven sensor and reversed removal procedure. No more Flashing F2 and oven temperature came to ready. Very easy.

Simply removed drawer and lined up the newsupports. Made sure the guide pin was lined up and installed with single screw

1.Removed the oven door. 2. Removed the oven floor panel ( slides right out ). 3. Removed cover plate and and removed one screw holding the igniter in place. 4 was able to pull the wire into the oven and unplug the igniter. Ordered a oven temp sensor but never needed it.
