Oven locks and over heats,have to wait till cools down to open door. Happen then work a few times, then happens again

Hello Dallas, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the sensor to see if that is bad. The sensor, PartSelect Number PS10057828 regulates the internal oven temperature. If the unit is locking on its own,the lock, PartSelect Number PS9495569, should be replaced. If the issue persists the problem is with the oven control board. I hope this helps!

Need to replace bake element
First, cut the power and remove the oven from the cabinet.
The bake element is accessible from the back and sits in a drawer.
As someone else said, you have to use pliers to bend the cover of the drawer, you will make some damage to the cover, but there is nothing you can do about it.
Make a note of what w ... Read more ire goes to the right and to the left so you can plug them back like it was before.
When you replace the bake element, make sure you insert it in the straps so it won't wiggle when it heats.
To close the cover that you bent, you will need a helper and push really hard.
