When I push start it beeps several times and light on front blinks
For model number GDT655SSJ0SS
Hi Matt, beeping sounds may indicate a problem with the dishwasher caused by power surges. To correct the problem, try pressing the "Start/Reset" pad to reset the dishwasher. If the problem persists, reset (reboot) the control by turning off the circuit breaker supplying the dishwasher for 30 seconds. Turn the circuit breaker back on and the dishwasher should function normally. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

I have no power to the user control panel. I have power to the main control panel. Do i need to simply replace the user control panel or could this be another issue?
For model number GDT655SSJ0SS
Hello and thank you for writing.
We suggest to try a hard reset:
Go to your breaker box and shut the breakers for your unit off, wait 5 minutes and then turn the breaker to on again. That should hopefully clear this problem.
If this does not fix this problem then your door latch PS6447681 and strike PS8690622 might be faulty and possibly needs to be replaced. This is more likely than a faulty control panel PS12342776, you should check the part(s) for signs of damage or test with a multimeter, and replace the part(s) as needed. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Assuming I have a bad door latch. Using a multimeter how can I test the latch to ensure this is the issue. I have no power to the user control panel. I do have power to the main control panel, a solid indicator light. I have attempted to reset by turning off the breaker for 5 minutes. I would like to confirm/rule out the door latch prior to moving to the user control panel.
For model number GDT655SSJ0SS
Hello Gary, Thank you for the question. With the power disconnected from the appliance, the latch can be tested from the main control at connector J711. The wires would need to be disconnected and tested from pin 3 (tan and red wire) to pin 4 (violet and yellow wire), then from pin 3 to pin 5 (white and silver wire) for continuity. When the door is closed, there should be continuity shown for both tests. If there is not continuity, then the latch would need to be tested directly in the same manner. We hope this helps.

Hello, I have seen "dishwasher beeping with orange light on and not starting" under Q&A. I have changed the latch on the tub side. Did not help. Thinking that it could be the control board. But, do I need to change the harnesses? Which ones? Can you assist? Thank you.
For model number GDT655SSJ0SS
Hello Jay, thank you for reaching out to PartSelect. Based on the description that you have provided, if the problem persists even after replacing the door latch, we would recommend checking the user interface board, part number PS16762500, to fix the issue. You can switch the wire harness from the old UI control board to the new board. We hope this solves your problem!

Dishwasher has no power. Motherboard replaced by repair man. He had to come back to hit reset behind kick plate. Dead again. Can’t find reset button. Where is it located behind kickplate
For model number GDT655SSJ0SS
Hello Marcia, thank you for asking. If your GE model has a kickplate, you can unthread the screws to remove the access panel, and you may find two buttons in the bottom left corner. Pressing the first button will reset your GE dishwasher. Or, you may try turning off the circuit breaker supplying the dishwasher for 30 seconds, and turn the circuit breaker back on. We hope one of these will help.

Dishwasher was randomly beeping when not in use. Then eventually the display wouldn’t light up.
I first tested for 120volts to my dishwasher to verify it was getting power from my electrical panel. Then tested pins 2 and 5 on the control board to make sure there was 14 volts going to the user interface harness. After I verified that I knew it was the user interface that was bad. I watched a video I found on YouTube and followed it.

This repair was fairly easy while watching the video and making sure that you use the correct pin out that comes in the box for your model. I’m not an appliance repair person and it took me about an hour start to finish. I’m going to attach the video I https://youtu.be/TI8cUjy5YOE

Diswasher not drying dishes
Didn't actually do the compete repair but got close. Pulled out dishwasher, disconnected and checked continuity on the existing heating element (about 16 ohms) the new element was also about 16 ohms. This indicates they both were working fine and no need for replacement. Next step would have been to swap the elements would have been

Open the washer, remove the bottom dish rack, then twist off the bottom water sprayer. Use a screwdriver to remove the mounting/ stabilizing screws so you can slide out the dishwasher. Close the dishwasher and slide it out. Underneath at the back there are two wires powering the drying element, carefully remove them. Use an adjustable wre
