I have power but do not start when i push start then a blink light in the front panel and nothing happen
For model number GDT545PSJ2SS
Hi Bruno, thank you for your question. You may want to take a look at your door latch. If that part is not registering that the door is shut then your appliance will not start. If that part is fine you may need to look at your flood switch. However if both those parts are working then the issue may be in your control board. Good luck with your repair.

I have read quite a bit of literature for the troubleshooting on this dishwasher, can’t seem to solve the problem. Lights just keep blinking. I’ve shut it off several times and restarted it but no luck. Am i missing something? Thanks
For model number GDT545PSJ2SS
Hi Jack,
Thank you for your question. The blinking lights may indicate a problem with the dishwasher caused by power surges. If you have tried resetting it and you have also unplugged the dishwasher and plugged it back in and this has not resolved the issue, there may be some other issue going on in the dishwasher. There are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the heating element, the drain pump and the touchpad and control panel. You should also find a tech sheet just behind the access panel of your dishwasher that will help you run some diagnostic tests. If checking these parts and running the tests do not help, you will need to have a technician check your dishwasher. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Dishwasher chimes often and sometimes doesn't start without flipping a power breaker
For model number GDT545PSJ2SS
Hello Brain, thank you for your question. You will have to put the dishwasher into diagnostic mode to check the error codes. To do this you can only enter the diagnostic mode from the Error Code Display Mode’. Once you have verified that it is in Error Mode, press and hold down “Cycle Start” for about five seconds (this activates the tests). It is important to note that you Press “Cycle Select” each time you want to select/Increment to the next Test (and you press Start to either Start/Stop a test). When the test is finished a specific LED illuminates to indicate the error condition that is present. We hope this helps.

Dishwasher seems to not be getting any power. I have checked circuit breakers, etc. No problem there. None of the display lights are on. Again, it is acting like there is no power.

Hi Bob, thank you for your question. You may want to take a look at your door latch for being the issue. If that part is fine then the issue might be in your control board. Good luck with your repair.

Took off the kickplate, diconnected the wires and removed the whole door by lifting straight up, removing spring wires from hinges. No water flowing into dishwasher
We tried cleaning out the filter and it clogged with a huge amount of gunk. We removed the gunk, scrubbed the filter, and tried running the dishwasher, but still no water. That took over an hour (not counting the time the dishwasher spent running). Then we tried your diagnosis center and it pointed to the flood switch or the water valve.

I extracted the flood switch (another 30-60 minutes) to check it, and it also contained gunk and (significantly) did not rattle, which made me suspect the flood switch was the problem, so I ordered one. Once the replacement arrived, I checked it and the flood switch rattled, confirming that it should work properly. I spent 30-45 minutes installing it, plus the filter assembly and racks I had to remove to access it. Ran the dishwasher and everything came out sparkling clean. I don't know where the gunk came from, but if you aren't getting water and the filter is full of gunk, check the flood switch.

Diswasher not drying dishes
Didn't actually do the compete repair but got close. Pulled out dishwasher, disconnected and checked continuity on the existing heating element (about 16 ohms) the new element was also about 16 ohms. This indicates they both were working fine and no need for replacement. Next step would have been to swap the elements would have been

simple. Tried to replace main board as well, still not the issue so giving up and replacing the dishwasher. It wasn't the high temp cut off thermostat either incidentally and no error codes in maintenance mode. Check continuity of your existing element before ordering to save aggravation.
