Fridge quit working.
A little research told me the hum plus no cooling was either the compressor or the relay. I ordered the new relay and put it in but it didn't fix the problem. I ended up having to buy a new fridge, but it was worth the $30 gamble to see if I could fix it on the cheap and it saved me the money a service call would've cost. Pretty easy installation, just in a tight space on my model.

Lost Key
It's easy to know how to use a key. I didn't have a difficult part, I didn't have the model # because I had lost my key and the model # is inside. I was able to find the energy saving paper that came with it but it had four model #'s. I called a couple places and no could me. I pulled up Part Select on line and just thought I would give them a try. I got a very nice person (Jeremy) He went thru every model that I had and three out of the four matched so he sent me a key and if it didn't work I could get my money back. I give him a A+ four taking that extra step, unlike the other places. Very satisfied!

Initially on full time then off full time
A 1,2,3 approach: 1, order the right part at the best price, Part Select has easy to navigate website and provides updated info on what will work in your appliance at a fraction of other site costs. 2. Configure the appliance to control the temp for a few days to save the food. This is accomplished by jumpering the two control wires to keep the compressor on and plugging the appliance cord into a timer with a 2hr on and 4hr off cycle. use the thermometer verify 0 degrees. 3. When the temp control is delivered unplug the power cord and proceed to repace the temp control, using care not to crimp the temp sensor bulb tubing. A #1 phillips screwdriver will release the control housing and temp sensor clamp assy. When complete set control to mid range and plug appliance into wall outlet. Use thermometer to set desired temp.

Frige and freezer not cooling
I should have ordered start kit instead of start capacitor. The start cap astir did not fix problem so I ordered kit. Compasator comes as part of kit. Followed enclosed instructions. Cut existing wires and reconnected new wiring. Simple as that. It's a plug in item. Now worried it may be working to good. Freezer down to 10 deg. Watching to see if compressor is running to long. Seems ok lol. Wife hates me now. She wanted new frige.
