FFHT1514QB5 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

The part i recieved, from parts select was a larger in circumfrence (<1/4) than the original. However i was not aware of this until after i treid to repair it.

I removed the broken fan from the condenser. This was very sipmle.

When i pluged the refridgerator back in to the outlet the fan tried to start up but soon began to make aloud noise, due to there not being enough clerance.

Removed 2 screws and broken part of handle. Set handle into screw holder on door, and fastened the top of handle with the 2 removed screws.

I removed the framing shelf from the bottom of refrigerator. I took the glass shelf from box. I place the shelf within the groves in the framing of shelf. Slide shelf with glass attached back in refrigerator.

put it on

Very Easy repair just needed a Phillips Head screwdriver. Unscrew two screws and slid the new handle in place and screwed it in.

When you purchase the part, it comes with two handles. One assumes that one is for the main part and the other is for the freezer. Actually, they are both the exact same size. Although the handle is not an exact match to the original it's close enough for a spare, garage fridge.

After reading some reviews there were complaints about having to buy two handles and other complaints about the handle breaking more than once so I'm just holding onto the second handle as a spare.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade! Heck, I'm grateful to have my garage Frigidaire! Our <5 year old kitchen GE broke in May and we have been unable to get a suitable replacement. I am writing this on October 27, 2020.

The repair was not the issue. When I received it there was no protection packing, no invoice and if you call the number, no one is there to help. The rack was plastic with no protection in box and it was damaged. Tried to resolve this matter with no response. Will never go through part select again.

Easy to install. It is self explanatory. You do not even need a manual or video explanation.

Snaps right into place, easy as can be.

took out all items off the shelves from frig - followed the instructions on Steve's video
installed 2 new racks replaced all items on the shelves everything worked fine

Unscrewed old handle.Replaced new handle. 5 minutes tops. Does take a specialized bit. (A Star Bit)

Very easy installation. I took the original screws out of the door, set the new handle in place and screwed it on. Sooooo easy

Took out old screws, removed broken handle. Put new handle in place, used old screws. Super easy!

Replacing new handle was easy and quick.

All you do is snap it on

The bulb wasn't the issue so I was hopeful the switch was. utube helped me some, but figuring my model was different than any on utube. Got the switch in and plugged it back in. Moment of truth. Didn't light. Ugggh! Out $50 for switch plus $20 for nut driver set.
