F101 Jenn-Air Range - Instructions

Knobs sent fit the shafts, but due to molded internal stop wouldn't seat. Had to drill out the stop, and also file down the shafts a bit for knobs to seat acceptably closer to stove-top.

Unpacked the new cooktop, plugged the module into the outlet. Done.

Ordered new cartridges

Replaced wires from broken to new part.

To repair, I just pulled out the one unit and replaced with the new. Took longer to get the unit out of the box. We are greatly pleased. Ordered on Thursday and had the unit by Saturday. Saved over $100.00, WILL shop PartSelect again.

Pulled out the old one-couldn't find it ANYWHERE that was a comparable match except for partselect. shut off breaker to oven-put in the new one-hard to reach in due to limited space and hard to see due to sticking your head in an oven.used a mirror/flashlight to see behind element to unscrew and screw it back in.Other than space restriction and light-pretty easy. Works great! Thanks for HAVING the part!! :)

Turned power to stove off. Removed two screws from cover - lifted cover up and pulled switch out and disconnected wires. Put new switch in and connected wires. Made sure that it was in correct position by placing knob on to make sure off position was correct - then placed plate in position and closed - put two screws back on plate and put new knob on. Turned power back on and turned knob and burner back in operation

Opened packaged slid new element into place and turned on. End of that job. Cooked dinner.

Take cartridge out of box, slide into slot, done.

I decided to remove the original Jenn Air grill from my stove top and replace it with a new Jenn Air radiant Element Cartridge. I searched on Google for 'Jenn Air radiant top' and immediately found just the item on the PartSelect.com website. I placed the internet order that day and two days later -- kaboom - the part has arrived. I pluggedd it into the stove top (no tools needed) and it was better than new. Ordered the part. It arrived in about 4 days. Took a screw driver and in just a few minutes, it was working again. BINGO

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. Then I pulled the element out about 2 inches & disconnected the two wires, Then I removed the ground wire. I then wired in the new element ( this was the only tough part of the process, because I had a very tight space to work in- less than 2 inches.

The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new light bulb in was not the problem.

I ordered the kit that contained all 4 wires and contacts. The replacement was fairly easy. The only drawback was the tight quarters in running the wires. The job was quick and a success. Now I can use my right side of my stovetop again!
