There were holes in the silverware basket.
It was easy. We removed the handle from the old basket and put in on the new and set it in place. Wonderfully easy.

The dishwasher which came with our newly purchased house had no silverware basket.
I put the silverware basket in the dishwasher. Unfortunately, I also purchased a cover and handle thinking they were needed. Now I need to see about returning the extra parts or just eat the cost.

Silverware Basket Developed Holes in Bottom
No repair - just replaced basket. Although picture on site made the basket look light gray, which is color of our dishwasher interior but the new basket ordered is very dark gray.

Bottom of basket had broken
All I had to do was remove the handle from the current silverware basket (pried loose a couple of "teeth" with a pair of screw drivers) and push the handle on the new basket. Took longer to find the screwdrivers than it did to move the handle.

Basket bottom fell out and silverware would fall through basket.
I just took out old basket and removed the old handle with a screw drive. Then I snapped the old handle on the new basket and placed it into the dish washer rack. All done!!

The bottom of the basket split and the silverware would fall through.
It's not much of a story. Just discarded the split basket and replaced it with the new one. I was really impressed with the short amount of time before it arrived

Basket-Ware had holes in the bottom.
I loved getting my new basket ware for my diswasher which I had no idea where to purchase one. My model number didn't match any of those listed but from the picture of the basket and one of the reviewers description about "just drop it in" I decided to try it and it worked perfectly. My basket-ware #W10187635 fit my Maytag DWU7400AAX.
