Twice I ordered the oven light bulb & each time the light bulb was defected
I had to call for a appointment for repair with GE Appliance because I thought then it . .was something electrical. The technician came out & checked everything out, turned out it was not electrical, The technician went out to his truck got a light bulb from his truck, put it in & it worked. It cost me $121.00 for trip charge from GE appliance for a light bulb that worked, your light bulbs were defective twice. Very disappointed with your products, cost me alot of money for a good light bulb thru GE appliance

Ice maker not making ice
Unscrewed 1 screw, removed panel, disconnected old icemaker and removed it, Added new icemaker, reconnected, replaced panel, replaced screw, & reset new icemaker. Started making ice almost immediately. Threw out entire first load of ice. Working great since! I wasn’t sure if it was the icemaker or the water valve to it so had a guy come out ($50) who confirmed it was the icemaker. He wanted $550 to replace it (part/labor). We bought the part here at Part Select for $185 (part/tax/delivery) and saved $265 on a job that took less than 15 minutes.

Ice tray was one solid ice cube
Leaking icemaker assembly was causing all of the ice cubes in the ice tray to freeze together. Remove ice tray, remove one Philips screw, pull the cover off, unplug the wires, remove the icemaker assembly by pushing tab and pulling the assembly at the same time. Replaced the water filter as well.

Door on our GE Profile refrigerator failed to close properly - upper hinge replacement
If this repair looks hard then you probably aren't doing it right. The key to doing this fairly easy upper hinge replacement is to pry the metal back off of the swinging panel attached to the door as a first step. Doing so exposes the screws that hold the hinges in the panel, and also the tabs that you must press in to release and remove the hinge covers. I accidentally broke the tabs on both hinge covers removing them, but I discovered that it didn't matter - I was still able to snap them both into place without having to replace them as well. Once you've released the hinge covers slide the panel upwards to reveal the entirety of the hinge, then push the hinge up with a flathead screwdriver so that it slides off of the anchor piece on the door. Slide the replacement part down onto the anchor, slide the swinging panel down and replace the hinge covers. From inside the panel reattach the screws (middle hinge only) and replace the panel parts including the metal back. Whole repair takes about 15 minutes.

Condenser fan not turning
In order to remove the condenser fan motor I needed to remove the fan blade. The blade is attached to the shaft with a press fit and there is a spring clamp that squeezes the blade to the shaft. Removing the spring clamp did not allow the fan to slide off the shaft because there must be some type of adhesive used in addition to the clamp. In forcing the blade off the shaft expect to damage the fan blade so that is why it was replaced. Very tight working area and difficult to get the leverage to pull on the blade.
The new blade will push on with a bit of force.
