Replacement of the Ice Guide
This one is not rocket science, however, it does take some careful "fudging" to accomplish without additional disassembly. The Ice Guide is held in place by three tabs. The tricky part is "tilting" the center tab into it's hole/slot on the ice dispenser lever (center hole), then tilting it up to snap into place.... there is a very tight tolerance here, with the opening of the ice/water dispensing unit. Be sure to "lock out" the ice maker/water dispenser, in order to be able to use the light. Once snapped in place, all is well.

Rubber cover seal old and sticking to the plastic opening - may cause the arm to break
Starting at the bottom, with a flat blade screwdriver pry the front cover off the opening. Unplug the wire connector from the back, remove the cover plate holding the switches and light socket by pushing out on the plastic clips on each side. Use something like a bungie cord to hold it up out of the way. Carefully unsnap the clear plastic ice shoot from the push arm, next carefully unsnap the cover door from the push arm. Clean anything that needs cleaning (CLR works great on hard water deposits)
Install everything in reverse order, the cover door first, ice shoot next, switch plate, plug in the wire connector and snap the outside cover in place.

Slide track required modification - Door cams installed easily
There were two small round studs in each slide track missing from the originals. Since there were no corresponding holes in the metal shelf bracket on my fridge, I ground off the plastic studs with a Dremel tool and the tracks fit perfectly.

My door would self-close anymore due to worn door cams. To fix I removed the door by unbolting the upper hinge and lifting the door off the lower hinge. I pried the cams off the door and the lower hinge and pressed the new ones into place. Added a dab of grease and reinstalled the door. Closes like new.

my drum was broken and would not put ice down to be used
I could not have done it without reading the repair story about this same issue. I DID take a digital picture before taking the blades out and that was helpful. NO ONE, except in the repair story, ever mentioned the reverse screw to get the blades off. It simply made it possible for me.
I fixed it!!!! I am a 69 year old widow who loves crushed ice, so I am happy!!
The PartSelect service is great!

Auger Busted
Removed all ice from bin and let it thaw. Removed all screws and nuts from the front to release the ice crusher and the long bit. Had already printed out all the advice from others on the on-line section about taking photos and not getting the crusher blades out of order. Removed the clip with needle nose pliers and the washer. Removed the blades laying them down in exact order and direction they came off. Put on the new auger drum and reversed everything. It was nice to know that the plastic screw that held the clip is a reverse thread, otherwise we might have broken the dang thing. Too bad there aren't instructions with the part when you get it instead of just a diagram. All-in-all, it went well.

Compressor making excessive noise
One front roller was flat on one side. Decided to replace all rollers at same time. Placed shims under unit and removed mounting screws for one front and one rear roller. With new rollers in place, I was able to level the refrigerator side to side, but unable to do so, front to back. Left the new front roller in place and reinstalled the old rear roller. Have decided to replace refrigeratorin the near future. This is one of my few repair failures!

The brackets that held the meat draw had broken from our nephew pulling down on it.
The most time consuming part was clearing off the old shelf and opening the boxes.
Placed the new shelf in place put in the old draw and that was it.

Meat drawer tracks(2) broken on ends
Ordered and received parts. Removed drawer and shelf unit. Removed the glass from top of shelf. Each track(2) slides out of slots on each of the metal shelf brackets. Slid old tracks out of each shelf bracket. Had to use small screwdriver to push down plastic tab that locks track before it would slide all the way out. Each new track had a small tab on each end, which would not let them slide into the slots on the metal shelf brackets. Used a small saw (could also use a file) to remove the 2 tabs on each track. Slid the new tracks onto metal shelf brackets, reinstalled shelf unit, glass top and drawer. Took about 40 minutes.

Ice Bin Auger Drum was broken.
First, I removed the 6 screws which hold the ice bin to the drum and the front cover. I then removed the screw which holds the door lever and bracket to the ice bin. Then I took the C clip and washer off the end of the auger to remove it from the housing. I removed the plastic nut to remove the auger drum from the auger shaft, being careful to place the blades on the table in the order they were removed. I then installed the new auger drum on the shaft and re-assembled everything in the reverse order. This was really easy for me because I had replaced the auger previously. (about 2 years ago)

One of the light bulbs went out on my Whirlpool refrigerator.
I changed the bulb but it still didn’t work. I ordered a bulb holder and replaced it and it works properly now. It was an easy repair, remove the bulb, gently pry the bulb holder out with a screwdriver and snap the new one in.

It was useful that under the description of the part in the catalog, it showed that this part was often used to repair this issue. The service was great and the delivery was fast.
