1106910910 Kenmore Washer Dryer Combo - Instructions

Took top of d then dryer loose then replaced switch actuator put dryer top back in place. Not that hard.

Took 5 seconds, just snapped in the slot, didn't need any tools.

Snapped latch into existing hole in 2 seconds. The pin that goes into latch was still intact. That's it ,real simple. The only problem I will hopefully not have in the future is the the mico-switch which is just hanging in there, the switch works but the lever that extends out from the face, that works with the door is partially broken off and the switch is no longer available on your parts list. The appliance is twenty-one years old. I am very happy with your service and I received the parts the next day, after I ordered them and I will be buying more parts in the months to come. This time it will be for my Kenmore gas stove and then a Kenmore refrigerator door hinge.

Six(6) screws were removed to separate the front and rear sections of the dryer door to get access to the rear of the catch.Pliers were used to maneuver the catch through the opening in the cabinet from the rear. The new catch was easily snapped into the catch opening from the front of the door.

I noticed that the dryer door switch actuator spring/lever was broken on the door. I researched how to get the top of the dryer cover off, and I took apart the mechanism. I called a local repair shop and they wanted me to buy the whole unit instead of just the switch lever. So I did some research to find the part on the web, and I came across your site. It was very easy to navigate, and I fould the part easily. I saved about 66% by just ordering the lever and not the whole unit. I would without hesitation, buy parts from your website again. For 2 years, I propped a broom stick against my dryer door to keep it shut while it was running. Last Sunday night, I decided that it was about time to fix it. removed 4 screws. 2 in the back and 2 at the lint screen door. Remove top lid of dryer and looked down and there was the door switch with the broken actuator spring. A diagram of the dryer with part locations is very helpful. I checked the switch with volt meter to make sure it was ok. It was ok! Replace the actuator and put every thing back together and dryer works just fine. Thanks to PartSelect I was able to buy the actuator spring buy itself and not have to buy the switch also.

Followed instuctions on video accept our appliance was the Duet HT model so we had a glass window to deal with. Just a few more screws to keep track of but otherwise a very easy repair.

I am one Happy Gal.....Looked to fix,thought about just buying a new dryer..In the end talked to the local repair guy...said I could do it myself. I'm a 66 year old lady with no repair experience at all!! I found the part I needed on Parts Select, which I ordered and received in less than 4 days. Open the top and replaced the switch bracket with the actuator lever then inserted new door catch.

two screws on filter housing and then lift dryer to up like the hood of a car the two screws on actuator, be careful not to drop actuator, if you do use a magnet to retrieve, two screws back in then wire clip top of dryer down and two screws back into filter housing and your ready to dry clothes, not recommended but if you have to dry clothes while waiting for part a clamp on the switch will allow you to use dryer, but be extremely careful because dryer will not turn off when door is opened
