1068334321 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

Needed to replace a really old Refrigerator Door Gasket and was having difficulty locating a door gasket for this unit. We didn't even know the age of the unit, but found the model number of the refrigerator which no one really lists on websites because it's so old. Customer service found the Model we had, we ordered and it was received at our home the next day.Price was good and the shipping chg was very reasonable. Very pleased and will definately order from them again! Thanks!!!!

We tried repairing with a new switch which was very easy to install but it didn't fix the problem.

This is an easy fix, simply remove and replace. What I was impressed with is that a how to video was provided along with my part. I wish all manufactures would offer this, the video was easy to understand and you had a good view of the operation. Thanks, a job well done.

I tried to remove the old light switch using a putty knife and a hammer. It was hard to compress the plastic tabs to pull it back through the hole, but all of a sudden, the lights came on. I guess banging on the switch freed-up the contacts. The new switch is now a spare part in case I need it.

followed the video as instructed. Saved two repairman calls, one to find the problem, one to install. Net savings was about $130.00

I tried to just replace the cover rather than the whole unit but it was impossible - the cover would not go/stay on. I tried to remove the old unit completely but it would not unplug it was practically fused to the back of the fridge and the liner was cracking. I ended up breaking the cover and jerry rigging it over the bulb to prevent items in the fridge from being able to touch. Bad solution.
