The purpose of the 884443 Protective Cover, is to cover the air inlet coupler, to keep dust and debris from getting inside the Nail Gun or Stapler and contaminating the internal parts. You should cover the coupling when the tool is not being used. They do have a tendency to wear out, it may be a good idea to have one or two extra on hand.

Use about 5 or 6 drops of air tool oil daily before beginning to use your tool. This will ensure that the internal components are properly lubricated and will prevent them from wearing out. Make sure to refer to the owners manual of your model for the correct application of this air tool oil. This item is sold as a single 18CC container.
