This needle and seat kit, also known as a float valve, is found in many types of liquid-fueled lawn equipment, such as carburetors. The valve regulates the flow of fuel into the float bowl. The needle and seat work together to make sure that the valve opens and closes properly, so that it does not leak or overflow. If it is broken, you may notice a strong odor of fuel coming from your machine. Your engine may also run poorly or not start at all. A damaged or corroded float valve can cause fuel leaks, which can be dangerous as they are flammable. To remove the float valve, first disconnect the spark plug wire on your machine. You then need to consult your user manual to locate the float bowl of your machine and remove the bolts or screws securing their cover in place. When you lift off the cover, you will find the needle attached to the float. Using a pair of needle-nose pliers, grasp onto the needle and pull it out of the float. Keep in mind when you are purchasing this OEM-manufactured kit that it comes with the needle and seat together, but the float itself is not included.

The most common reasons for replacing the primer bulb are when the engine leaks gas or won't start. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the carburetor primer bulb is an 8mm socket or nut driver, small flat-head screwdriver and a Phillips-head screwdriver.

Craftsman Pressure Washer Primer-carburetor Genuine OEM replacement primer bulb for engines with a pulsa prime carburetor. This part is sold individually. It includes the Rubber Bulb and the Plastic Collar to attach it. A primer sends gas into the carburetor so it can create a fuel and air mixture that is ready to go right into the cylinder and keep the engine running. Over time a primer bulb can dry out and crack. If the bulb is damaged it will not create suction and will not function as needed, therefore it will need to be replaced.

Genuine Briggs and Stratton replacement part, it includes the Diaphragm and Diaphragm Gasket. The purpose of the Diaphragm is to draw out fuel into the engine. The diaphragm is forced inward by ambient air pressure. The diaphragm is connected to the needle valve and as it moves inward it opens the needle valve to admit more fuel, this replenishes the fuel as it is consumed. As fuel is replenished the diaphragm moves out due to fuel pressure and a small spring, closing the needle valve. Most manufactures will have rebuild kits that contain new Diaphragms in them.
