This Ice maker tray flexes to release the cubes, and the rectangular slot in the tray splits apart not allowing the tray to flex and release the cubes. - its a weak design.
I reinforced the ice cube tray rectangular slot with a thin .080" plastic disc cut to fit the ice tray - you need to remove the cube tray from the round holder, add the reinforcement around the plastic slot then reinstall. Also, I polished the cube trays with Carnuba wax (food safe) to better release the ice. All is well now, and I have 2 spare ice trays modified and ready to install.

- When I received the gaskets, I laid them out on a flat surface, but as per the product description, they had become distorted in the shipping container. At first I thought one was severely distorted, but it was turned “inside out.”
- I followed the directions to use a hair dryer to heat the rubber material until it returned to its original shape: about 15 minutes for each gasket.
- With a little effort, the old gaskets pop out and the new ones pop into a groove (I ran my fingers firmly over the installed gaskets to make sure they were securely installed.).

This door seal, also known as a door gasket, is a flexible strip made of rubber that acts as a seal between the refrigerator door and frame. This door seal is used in two-door fridges and therefore one door seal is required for each door. The seal prevents cold air from escaping and warm air from entering the refrigerator, to maintain a consistent temperature inside. The seal is located around the perimeter of the refrigerator door. Over time, the door seal can wear out, become cracked, or lose its elasticity. A faulty door seal will lead to increased energy consumption, inconsistent temperatures, and potential spoilage of food. To replace the door seal, simply peel off the old seal, and clean the sealing area. Align the new seal along the door perimeter and press it firmly into place to create a tight seal. Each order only comes with one door seal, therefore if both of your door gaskets are faulty, you will need to order two of these.
