What is the difference between a magnetron thermal cut out and oven cavity thermal cut out? There are two oven cut outs are they the same. What is the temp rating for the mangnetron cut out and the oven cavity cut ou? I have to replace all three cut outs.
For model number Pvm9179sk1ss
Hi Martin,
Thank you for your question. The magnetron thermal cutoff shuts the microwave off if the magnetron gets to hot. Some are designed to reset once the microwave has cooled. The oven cavity thermal cutoff is a one time device that will open at 230 degrees if a thermal event takes place inside the microwave. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My microwave Model JVC1750EP2ES stopped working, then it would start when I opened the door, stop when I closed the door and would work when I entered cook time. I researched and found it was the door switched. I replaced all 3 and now the microwave is completely dead. Outlet has power. I think it could be either the Vent Thermostat (WB27X709), TCO Bottom (WB21X10162), or Magnetron Safety Cut Off (WB27X11095) Which one do you think it could and do I have the correct part number listed?
For model number JVC1750EP2ES
Hi Alan, thank you for your query. Yes, you have the correct part number listed. We would recommend checking the thermal fuse, part number PS2370184, magnetron safety cut-off, part number PS2370185, tco bottom, part number PS2370041, and vent thermostat, part number PS240278, to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
